‘The Madness of King Donald’ — That’s What You’re Supposed to Think

But the Plan Behind the Gulf Disaster is Bad, Not Mad.
Another day, another batch of headlines about erratic Trump posts and armed clashes in the Gulf. The general tone of the controlled media, the message we lesser mortals are supposed to get, is that it’s all the result of a Crazy Orange American going up against a bunch of Mad Medievalist Mullahs.
More sophisticated observers add in manipulation by a Israeli leader who needs war to stay out of prison, and to feed his own megalomania and the weird fantasies of his fruitcake coalition partners.
And that’s about it. We’re supposed to accept this simplistic ‘analysis’ and switch off deeper thought about a crisis which is shaping up to impose a permanent energy shock ‘reset’ on all our lives.
Don’t fall for it. You’re wiser and better than that. But, if you understand that something is missing in the account you’re being fed, the following recap should help to clarify things:
What’s Really Going On
It’s much more about the Arabs than they’re letting on. Saudi Arabia opted not to renew the 1974 fifty-year petrodollar agreement when it ran out in June 2024. The proportion of Saudi oil sold in US$ crashed in the following 18 months, dropping 35% by last year and on course – before the present disruption – to slump further to just 50% by the end the year. In as far as much of the conflict is about the petrodollar, it is not a matter of preserving it in its old form, since it was already nearly gone.
If, however, Iran can be provoked into destroying the oil, electricity and desalination infrastructure of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf states, the resulting crash in world hydrocarbon supplies (including the helium which is absolutely vital for producing computer chips) will make the oil and gas of ‘Greater North America’ indispensable to many countries.
It will effectively replace the old petrodollar system with a new one; a wealth transfer mechanism based not on a treaty but on simple lack of any alternative.
Nothing Federal About the Federal Reserve
The position of the US$ as the global reserve currency has also weakened massively since the post-war decades when virtually all international trade was conducted in notes and credit conjured out of thin air by the (private) Federal Reserve, and then bought by various unfortunate foreigners with real goods, services, precious metals and other people’s dollars.
The creeping end of this gigantic subsidy for the USA’s bloated military, soaring debt mountain and welfare bills really leaves Washington with no choice but to opt for a radical change in the global order. Left a few more years, the process would have led – and, if peace breaks out, will still lead – to China taking over as the world economic and military hegemon.
The destruction of Middle Eastern hydrocarbons needs to be right now, while Beijing has still not completed its strategic switch from oil to electricity. The extreme disruption looming for the world economy due to the ‘Iran’ oil shock is coldly calculated to wreck China’s export-dependent economy.
This is why the target isn’t just Iran. Saudi Arabia and Qatar are in the crosshairs as well. Not as collateral damage, but by design, because the biggest target of all is China.
The very powerful Zionist lobby has its own reasons for going along with this American foray. As I have explained several times already on Substack, the Greater Israel to which the Netanyahu regime is committed to creating in short order (according to some suggestions, by 2028, the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Zionist state) includes the whole of the north of Saudi Arabia.
While the Sunni dictatorship is no match for Israel in either military or political clout, it does have a seriously well-equipped air force, and a large number of Western politicians in its pocket. Investments by the Saudis and their Gulf neighbours also give them enormous financial power.
Eretz Israel cannot be established until that changes, any more than the American Technate block can rise. But the destruction of Saudi Arabia will have such a terrible effect on global food supplies and general economic stability that Israel and the USA cannot be seen to be responsible for the disaster. How convenient, then, if it’s all the fault of the Mad Mullahs in Iran and an insane old President.
“But the economic dislocation which is going to be caused will explode several US debt bubbles, drive American farmers to the wall and destroy the American middle class. Why would the people pulling Trump’s strings want to do that?”
Because, oh sweet and innocent one, the people running the USA are doing it for themselves and their corporate cronies, not for the American people. The destruction of family farms and foreclosure on millions of homes is indeed bad for ordinary Yanks, but it would mean a gigantic transfer of all that wealth to the likes of Blackrock and Monsanto.
As I have also pointed out several times, the neo-reactionary Techno-Feudalism of Thiel, Musk and the other tech bro Masters of the Universe can only come into being on the ruins of America’s admittedly flawed property-owning democracy.
You don’t get to turn a gun-owning Republic into a gov-corps, CBDC social credit, total surveillance state without a massive economic and political crisis. Just as you don’t turn expensive fracked gas into the world’s go-to for LNG without persuading Iran to blow Qatar to kingdom come, or make Venezuelan heavy oil really worth exploiting without depriving the world’s farmers of diesel and fertiliser from the Ayrabs. Cue famines and tidal waves of refugees. Thanks, Don!
The other bunch of elite monsters with a vested interest in perpetual Gulf chaos are, of course, the Rockefeller Foundation’s apparatchiks in the World Economic Forum. “Global oil shock. When you absolutely, positively got to shrink the carbon footprint of every motherf*cker in the world, accept no substitutes.”
Don’t be surprised. They’ve been telling us what they plan to do to us since the late 1960s. The Covid lockdown was only ever a test run. They, the Bilderbergers, the Trilateral Commission, and so on have kept a lower profile since then, but they’re still at it, and they have enormous clout over the political class, including in the USA.
And that, dear reader, is why Donald Trump is not going to get bored of the Iran conflict and simply walk away. He’s either going to keep the whole crisis dragging on, allowing the Straits closure to do slowly what actual infrastructure destruction would do very quickly. Or he’s going to launch such a massive wave of attacks that he sets the whole region ablaze. Then he can declare victory and leave.
That is the plan. Not mad, but very, very bad.
There are only two powers on Earth which might stop it.
The first is China, which may feel forced to respond to the existential threat of an oil blockade and the rolling destruction of much of its overseas market. This isn’t the first time the USA has used this playbook against a rising Asian power; they did exactly the same against Japan in the late 1930s, and got Pearl Harbour as a result.
The crucial difference is that Japan lashed out in a desperate gamble which relied on knocking America out of the war quickly, before her massively superior industrial capacity could be brought into play. This time around, it is the USA which would be on the wrong side of a war of attrition.
If Trump’s Hormuz blockade continues, the Chinese navy could intervene, giving America a very difficult choice: Stand and fight, risking utterly unacceptable losses and a possible spiral to World War Three, or run away and cede world hegemon status overnight.
The second is the secular and leftist Zionist block in Israel – the generals and opposition politicians who were on the verge of civil war against Netanyahu and his merry band of kabbalistic religious nutcases just before October 7th postponed the reckoning.
If they decide that a fresh flare up of hostilities poses too much of a risk to the Iron Dome and the IDF forces already facing a hard slog with Hezbollah, then the friends they have in DC and Wall Street will apply pressure for some sort of uneasy truce.
Whether they have the clout to outweigh that of the Likud lobby and the various religious ultras is another matter; they don’t have the Epstein photos and video clips for a start.
If they don’t, and if the inscrutable Chinese feel they can bide their time for a few more years, then the “Madness of Donald Trump and the Mullahs” will be the explanation for the economic, financial and social disruption which is going to wreck all our relative comfortable and familiar lives.
That will be the official story but, like so many official stories, it will be bullshit. They’ll tell you it was all just a terrible accident but, I’m telling you, it was all planned from the very beginning.
