From ‘Transmaxxing’ to Murder

From ‘Transmaxxing’ to Murder

The ideological trajectory of Charlie Kirk’s alleged killer.

In these virtual pages, I plan to pursue a hypothesis, one which is admittedly speculative, but which I find resonates intuitively.

My hypothesis concerns Tyler Robinson, the suspect currently in custody, charged with the murder of Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah on Wednesday, September 10, an event which sent shock waves through our reality, and which will likely to reverberate, culturally, politically, and spiritually, for months and years to come.

Here, I do not wish to address the controversy currently raging, especially amongst the online Right, some of whom have concluded that Robinson is a mere patsy and that Kirk was whacked by Mossad, who suspected that the stalwart pro-Israel pundit was about to turn on his Zionist donors.

Whether or not Robinson is the lone shooter isn’t the subject I am addressing here. Even if Robinson was a patsy for the “true” assassins, that means that he still played some kind of some role in the event, whether or not he was aware of the full scope of what was being planned, the same way that those who claim Lee Harvey Oswald’s “patsyhood” in the shooting of JFK consisted in him being some sort of agent or asset of intelligence services before realizing in the end that his handlers were making him the scapegoat.

Little is known of Tyler’s upbringing, though from all appearances it was unremarkable. He grew up in a Mormon family in and around St. George, Utah. By all accounts he was a smart kid who made good grades and stayed out of trouble. He received a full scholarship to Utah State University, and the future looked bright.

It was after graduating high school that things apparently started to go off the rails for Tyler. For reasons unknown, he dropped out of Utah State after one semester, and began attending Dixie Technical College in St. George, where he was enrolled in the electrical apprenticeship program. That a smart and eminently capable pre-engineering major with a full ride would take such a “downgrade” might well have provoked consternation and concern amongst his conservative, middle-class parents, though admittedly we have no firsthand knowledge on this front.

What we do know, based on ample firsthand accounts from numerous sources, is that in the year or two prior to Charlie Kirk’s ill-fated visit to Utah Valley University in September 2025, Tyler had begun to get “political.” This appears to have been spurred on by having found a group of friends with “queer,” “trans” and “furry” identities. At the time of the shooting, Tyler was living in a St. George condominium with another young man named Lance Twiggs, who had a furry emoji on his social media, and who was seemingly in the process of transitioning to “Luna.”

Lance and Tyler became lovers, which created static with Tyler’s devoutly Mormon parents. In addition to objecting to the relationship as sinful in accord with their beliefs regarding homosexuality, Tyler’s mother and father found Twiggs to be unstable and generally untrustworthy, given that he was kicked out of his home for allegedly being a drug-addict and a habitual online gamer, in addition to his gender dysphoria.

Just before Kirk’s visit to Utah Valley University in Orem, he reported told a family member that he found Kirk to be “full of hate and spreading hate.” In a Discord exchange reportedly initiated by Robinson on the day of the shooting, Twiggs asked Robinson why he shot Kirk, he speaks similarly: “I had enough of his hatred. Some hate can’t be negotiated out.”

***************************

How did Tyler Robinson go from a “normal” Mormon kid growing up in central Utah with a promising future to an angry, queer antifa with a trans boyfriend and seeming murderous hatred in his heart for Charlie Kirk?

My hypothesis is that Robinson, an avid gamer who, like Twiggs, was perpetually online, perhaps was something of an “incel” during much of his young life. Like many other young men today, he had little to no romantic or social life. There are no reports of Tyler having a girlfriend, or attending prom, or otherwise displaying success with girls.

Among incels, there is a notion of “transmaxxing.” (Examine any incel message board, and you are likely to find this subject heading, with many eye-opening comments.) When an incel opts to “transmaxx,” he decides that since women will always reject him, he’ll stand a greater chance of finding romantic success if he opts to identify as a woman, and dress and act accordingly, in addition to taking hormones and perhaps undergoing gender reassignment surgery.

Though Tyler didn’t technically become trans, he became the romantic partner of Twiggs, who is fully steeped in the trans/furry/queer scene; his online avatar features a picture of a furry, and he calls himself a “friendly neighborhood fish finder,” which in the argot of his subculture, means that he is good at locating seemingly straight men who actually harbor transgender inclinations. (“Fish” being a quite indelicate reference to the smell of a woman’s vagina.)

Might the “male loneliness crisis”— a subject I have covered extensively— have led Tyler Robinson, in his frustration, to opt to “transmaxx,” in the sense of opting to be with a transgender lover, and himself becoming a “fish,”; that is, a heterosexual/”cis”-presenting man who secretly identifies as trans himself?

If so, it may well be said that the current dolorous state of sexual relations, particularly among the young, might have caused a line of dominos to tumble, leading first to one lonely young man’s decision to “transmaxx” led to him to feel further alienated from the culture which caused his loneliness in the first place, which in turn radicalized him against such promoters of sexual normalcy as Charlie Kirk, which in turn led to the tragedy of September 10, 2025, in which Kirk, a decent, kind, mild-mannered man, was viciously gunned down by a young man whose radical ideology led him to a place of murderous hatefulness and activated the demonic bloodlust of legions of his fellow-travelers on the cultural Left.
