It’s Anti-American to Call Anyone a ‘Nazi’ for Criticizing Israel’s Government

There’s a growing divide on the right, and no, it’s not about Trump. It’s about Israel. MAGA is asking fair questions about America’s foreign entanglements; the neocons are having a meltdown because someone finally did.
A wave of popular figures on the right, including Tucker Carlson, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Sean Davis, and others, are openly questioning US policy with the Israeli government. Not the Jewish people, not religion, nothing like that. They’re focused on the government. And that distinction should matter.
Americans should be able to discuss foreign policy, especially when our money, weapons, and soldiers are involved. That’s not “antisemitism.” That’s basic citizenship in a free country.
But apparently, free speech stops where Israel starts.
A loud, emotionally charged group on the right, mostly made up of DeSantis/Cruz holdouts, has turned any criticism of the Israeli government into a literal “Nazi” witch hunt. People like Mark Levin have gone full zealot, labeling anyone who dares question foreign policy as “Nazis,” “Jew haters,” or worse, “Hitler Jr.” Yes, it’s irrational and absurd, not to mention dangerous.
Look:
And look:

Levin has taken his obsession so far that he’s now leading his own online mob, turning Republican infighting into an exact copy of the left’s cancel culture.
If you dare to question the Israeli government, your reputation gets shredded by the Israel-First neocons. The vile post below goes after Sean Davis, editor of The Federalist. Apparently, he’s “Hitler” because he doesn’t approve of all Bibi Netanyahu’s political moves.
Who is paying these people to have so much deranged passion for a foreign government?
Popular blogger Matt Walsh has been targeted too. He dared to question Israel and defend Tucker, and now the mob’s calling for his job.
Apparently, anything goes in today’s Republican Party… except criticizing Israel’s government.
And it doesn’t stop there.
Tucker Carlson is Mark Levin’s latest target. His “crime,” aside from asking journalistic questions about Bibi Netanyahu, was interviewing controversial figure Nick Fuentes. Forget that this is America, where journalists interview controversial figures every day. Barack Obama, who arguably did more to tear this country apart than anyone in modern history, gets fawning press coverage everywhere he goes. But Tucker’s interview? That’s suddenly grounds for deplatforming and calling him the most dangerous “antisemitic voice” in America.
Yes, a US lawmaker actually said that.
This is peak left-wing cancel culture, deployed by our own side.
But he didn’t just stop at Tucker. Mark’s got a laundry list of people he wants deplatformed.
Mark Levin jumped in to remind everyone that he’s the gatekeeper of “true conservatism.” Here are his latest self-righteous declarations:
Mark also believes that we should be “thanking” Israel for the billions we give them. No questions asked.
Levin’s also using highly charged and dangerously reckless language when it comes to “dealing” with his political enemies.
Amid all the screaming, name-calling, and cancel crusades, a rare voice of reason broke through the noise. Podcaster Bret Weinstein, who said what everyone on the right should be saying right now… that asking questions about foreign policy isn’t hate speech, it’s citizenship.
“What a terrible error it is to go after anybody who has legitimate questions about the interaction between the United States and not only a foreign state but a particular administration that has a very hard line bent within that foreign state.
You’re allowed to have questions. You’re an American. That’s one of the great things about it. You’re allowed to have questions. You’re allowed to ask any question you want. And anybody who wants to say that the reason you can’t ask that question is because you’re revealing a horrible defect in character, or defect of character, is running exactly the risk of creating the enemy, effectively calling it forth.”
This is America. We debate, we question, and we hold power to account. That’s the whole point. If we can openly criticize our own government every single day, why should the Israeli government, or any foreign government, be off-limits? Free speech doesn’t stop at another country’s border, and it sure as hell shouldn’t stop because a few loud voices on our side decided to play the “Nazi” speech police.
Thankfully, more and more rational voices are joining Bret to speak out against this left-wing style censorship:
The second you demand the cancellation of a journalist or podcaster or anyone because they won’t affirm your every viewpoint, or you don’t like the views of some of the people they interview, you’ve become indistinguishable from a purple haired septum-pierced leftist who believes words are violence.
Silencing people for asking questions isn’t “conservative”; it’s cowardly. And dragging out the left’s tired (and dangerous) “Nazi” playbook to smear fellow Americans is beyond disgusting; it’s also anti-American. This is supposed to be the side that defends free speech, not the one that burns it down. If questioning a foreign government now makes you an enemy of the right, then a good chunk of the right has totally lost the plot.
