Israel First or America First?

Tucker Carlson’s interview with Nick Fuentes has triggered a week-long meltdown of Jews and their conservative defenders. There doesn’t seem to be any end in sight, either. The hysteria is very similar to Trump Derangement Syndrome, except that the sufferers more often have kippahs than quiffs of blue hair.
Joel Berry of the Babylon Bee posted that “Fuentes and Tucker are destroying the Right and greatly hurting our ability to defeat the Left” and “If Nick Fuentes and Zohran Mamdani are the ‘future,’ Christians had better appeal to Heaven and prepare for battle.” Both sides are casting the current Republican infighting as a battle between the legacy of Patrick Buchanan on one side and William F. Buckley, Ronald Reagan, and their cuckservative heirs on the other. For example, Berry also posted Rush Limbaugh’s statement that “Pat Buchanan wants to engage in policies that expand the role of government in people’s lives. He’s not a conservative.” This ironically sounds similar to RINO attacks on Trump. We’re apparently never supposed to wield power. Our role is simply to be a punching bag for the Left.
In a rambling and sanctimonious effort post, Kevin Roberts of the Heritage Foundation denounced Fuentes’ holocaust denial and his other “relentless conspiracy theories that echo the darkest chapters of history.” A quick look at the comments shows that his holocaust guilt card was declined. I doubt he has an alternate form of argumentation.
Rod Dreher virtue signaled about clothes at Auschwitz, which I guess is a nice change from a pile of shoes. He also said “It’s great that so many on the Right are rising up against Groyperism and Jew hatred. But if we don’t provide REAL answers to the serious concerns the alienated young men drawn to live by these lies have, our opposition will go nowhere.” But in his article “Reaching Weimerica’s Lost Boys,” the only solution he offers is high-minded religious platitudes. This tone-policing, Zionist, touchy-feely religious “Right” failed for a reason.
The obese war monger Randy Fine called Tucker the most dangerous anti-Semite in America, saying that “He has chosen to take on the mantle of leader of a modern-day Hitler Youth […] Make no mistake, Tucker is not MAGA.”
Laura Loomer’s post that “Tucker Qatarlson said he hates Bible believing Christians. Good luck to the GOP in 2026 and 2028 if they keep associating with Tucker” received a community note clarifying that he said “Christian Zionists,” not “Bible believing Christians.” I’m not a Christian, but the Christians within our movement are correct in denouncing dispensationalism as a heresy. The “Israel” spoken of in the New Testament is obviously the community of believers, not a meme country founded in 1948.
Ted Cruz said “It’s remarkable, and sad, watching Tucker turn into Nick Fuentes.” The Free Press also ran an article titled “Ted Cruz: The Fight Against Antisemitism Is ‘Existential.’” Of course, Ted Cruz would never say that the fight against anti-white hate is existential. Or even somewhat important. In fact, he would probably denounce it as “woke right.”
Fat try-hard James Lindsay, who is known for desperately spamming the “woke right” meme, posted that rather than an episode of infighting, “What’s happening is an attempted coup by the Carlson–Fuentes wing. They’re not MAGA. They’re trying to take MAGA over or destroy it.”
In a pathetic attempt at gaslighting people into thinking that almost a decade of cancel culture never happened, Misfit Patriot posted, “Nick is on the biggest platform in the world, flys to other peoples shows all the time, and takes super chats every night which is only possible if you have a bank account. Apparently ‘the Jews’ are real bad at canceling people.”
Misfit Patriot also quote-reposted a segment of Ben Shapiro denouncing Tucker and Fuentes, claiming that “Ben meticulously took down Fuentes and Tucker by using their own clips and providing fact based arguments” and “The woke right are a bunch of soft ass bitches.” But as our writer David Zsutty among many others noted in the replies, Ben Shapiro is loath to actually debate Nick Fuentes (or anyone else on our side for that matter).
Finally, Mark R. Levin had a particularly unprofessional and unhinged crash out which does not bear repeating but can be read in full here. It is reminiscent of Richard Spencer’s infamous “kikes and octaroons” rant after Charlottesville.
This campaign against Tucker and Fuentes is backfiring spectacularly.
Tucker and Fuentes, however, are not what this fight is really all about. They are just the messengers. The deeper issue is that for generations, the American Right has put appeasing Jews and protecting Israel ahead of American interests. Those days are ending, but they won’t end without a fight. That fight is now upon us.
Note to Laura Loomer, Mark Levin, Ben Shapiro, Joel Berry, and company: Making “Israel First” a litmus test in an America First political movement was never going to happen. Stop trying to make it happen.
The only place where Israel First makes sense is Israel. If those are your priorities, you need to go there. Otherwise, you are a subversive force and need to be frozen out of American politics.
Jews pretend that the charge of “dual loyalties” is a vicious slur when actually it is an undeserved compliment. It isn’t possible to put both America and Israel “first,” because American interests inevitably differ from Israeli interests. Thus, when forced to choose, you show which country really comes first. That is where your true loyalty lies.
America has serious problems, and the time and resources necessary to fix them are in short supply. We simply cannot afford to allow Netanyahu and American Jews to seize the wheel of state from Trump whenever one of their wily schemes blows up in their faces.
It didn’t have to come to this. You could have accepted that the best you can hope for is for Israel to be second or third after America in American foreign policy calculations. You could have worked hard to merit that status. Instead, you let your ethnonarcissism run amok. Now you are threatening to destroy the MAGA movement and the Republicans if they don’t cater to you.
But, again, Israel First was never going to be possible in an America First political movement. So who is being subversive here: Israel-First Jews or America Firsters like Tucker Carlson?
Israel First was only possible among mainstream conservative civic nationalists who accepted the idea that “America” is just a list of values, i.e., the latest Republican platform. Those politics are dying with the Boomers. The future of the American Right is nationalism and populism. America is not an idea that Jews and big business can redefine every few years to suit their interests. America is the homeland of a living breathing people, who naturally think that their government should put our interests first.
Israel First is not possible in an America First administration.
