Is a Media Matters, Pro-Abortion Donor Secretly Working With RINOs to Kill MAGA?

Every few months, the right gets blindsided by some new internal “drama,” and most of the time it’s nothing more than influencers yelling at each other online. But this latest situation could be different, very serious, and allegedly tied to a woman almost nobody in MAGA has ever heard of, and for good reason. She’s a wealthy donor with a long history of funding hardcore left-wing causes, including Media Matters, HIAS, and abortion-rights groups.
And according to several people involved in the Heritage situation, which we’ll explain in just a moment, she’s now allegedly using her money, influence, and a fake online alias to pull strings inside the conservative movement.
If this turns out to be true, it would be one of the wildest political infiltration stories in years.
And it all started with a single X post.
An X user named “Suzy Shofar” posted a screenshot showing that Kevin Roberts, president of The Heritage Foundation, wrote a letter to President Trump recommending Pat Buchanan for the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
But the post Suzy Shofar made wasn’t some random informational X post. It appears to be an attempt to whip up controversy. Now, to understand why, here’s the quick rundown of what’s happening over at Heritage. In a nutshell, the organization is in the middle of an internal war, with Kevin Roberts pulling Heritage in a much more populist, America First direction, and the establishment relics fighting to keep the status quo. That’s made Kevin a target for the old establishment crowd, and any excuse to undermine him gets turned into a major scandal.
The only reason Kevin’s letter looks “controversial” is because the Israel First crowd has spent years trying to turn Pat Buchanan into a forbidden figure inside the conservative movement. He’s unapologetically America First, and he’s been critical of foreign entanglements, and that alone makes him radioactive to the people who want permanent neocon control. None of that makes him a villain, and none of it makes the letter suspicious, but Suzy uses the implication as her weapon.
According to a lot of insiders watching this play out, including some inside Heritage, this is allegedly part of a donor-driven campaign to weaken Roberts and steer Heritage back toward total establishment control.
So, the post from Suzy immediately caught fire online.

Conservative operative Vish Burra responded to Suzy Shofar’s X post, a bombshell claim:
According to him, “Suzy Shofar” isn’t just some random conservative woman on X. He alleges that “Suzy Shofar” is actually Susan Lebovitz Edelman, a billionaire heiress and left-wing donor whose foundation has reportedly funded:

HIAS (immigrant-refugee pipeline)
Center for Reproductive Rights (abortion advocacy)
American Jewish World Service (left of center Jewish organization)
Bari Weiss’s UATX
So, all this so-called “right-wing” controversy could be coming from someone who is a hardcore left-winger.
Burra claims Suzy/Susan is:
a former leftist and two-time Obama voter,
the person who allegedly funded James Lindsay’s “grievance studies hoax,”
someone who allegedly funded the now-infamous “Woke Right” narrative against MAGA,
and someone who allegedly went to war with Charlie Kirk, TPUSA, JD Vance, and now Kevin Roberts & Heritage.
This woman. Susan Lebovitz-Edelman, is behind the entire campaign to oust Kevin Roberts from The Heritage Foundation by using her leverage as a recent big dollar donor to take control of the organization. Her donor history portfolio includes Media Matters, AJC, and HIAS

It’s rare that billionaire donors would ever get involved in the shitposting fever swamps of X. Bill Ackman uses his real name and image to make thousand words posts, which itself has become a meme. I would like to highlight another billionaire on this platform posting from a sock account. The reason is because shedding sunlight on this woman can help bring to light what exactly how Israel, “The Woke Right” canard, The Israel Lobby in America, the attacks on JD Vance, and this woman’s crusade against The Heritage Foundation and Kevin Roberts is all connected Meet Susan “Suzy”Lebovitz-Edelman, who posts on X under her sock account “Suzy Shofar” @suzylebo:
Suzy and her husband Joseph Edelman are the only trustees for their Edelman Family Foundation “charity”. The Edelman Family Foundation gives generously to a lot of their favorite pet causes, which I will highlight in this thread. Their 501(c)(3) filings go dark after 2023.
It is well known that Suzy was the one who funded James Lindsay’s “grievance studies hoax”. He is one of her favorite pets and it’s without a doubt that he still is. Just like James, Suzy is a hardcore former leftist 2 time Obama voter who likely wanted off the train after the Left bought in to trans hysteria, so she began funding all sorts of anti-trans “moderate centrist” BS to find new malleable conservative orgs as vehicles to do her bidding. Here she is replying to Michael O’Fallon, a James Lindsay booster and owner of Lindsay’s “New Discourses” website, seeding the narrative of “The Woke Right” to O’Fallon. This same term would be co-opted by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu himself about 3 years after.
During the 12 Day War, Suzy started her own forever war with Charlie Kirk, and more recently TPUSA. Now Kevin Roberts and The Heritage Foundation.
So what are Suzy’s pet causes and interests? What ties her pursuit of finding conservative orgs as new vehicles to those pet causes? What her transgressions against Charlie Kirk, TPUSA, Kevin Roberts, The Heritage Foundation, and JD Vance all have in common? I’ll let you Google what “Shofar” means…
Suzy’s Edelman Family Foundations interests can certainly be traced by their donations history. This includes the American Jewish Committee, American Jewish World Service, Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society, The Tikvah Fund, Bari Weiss’s UATX, and Media Matters. Conservative org funding is more recent and includes CATO, PragerU, FIRE, and The Manhattan Institute. She is also a on the Board of Trustees at the Manhattan Institute.
So what’s her angle here? My guess is that her and her Israel First donor friends are trying to coup Kevin Roberts at Heritage and every other conservative org in America so that their picks can be the ones running the organizations. You’ve already seen this playbook with TikTok, CBS, and Paramount. Same thing is happening here on a political level. Once they pick the heads of the operational arm of the conservative/MAGA movement, they’ll want to pick the Republican nominee for President next, and these people have made it clear they are at war with JD Vance. This is why this war with Israel First MIGA will not end soon. This will get very messy before it gets better but MAGA must be in this to win this, otherwise, a Israel and their leaders will be deciding your future with their “American” billionaire cutouts like Susan Lebovitz-Edelman deciding what are the guardrails for MAGA after she spent a decade funding all sorts of hardcore leftist bullshit including literal mass third world migration.
We must marginalize these people.

In addition, the financial layer Visha points out is incredible. The Edelman Family Foundation, which is run entirely by Susan and her husband, Joseph, shows:

donations that suddenly “go dark” after 2023
and zero liabilities
This isn’t some random donor. This is someone with real financial firepower and a long track record of funding aggressive left-wing causes.
Maybe that’s the real “shofar” moment here… not a spiritual wake-up call, but a political wake-up call. A reminder that the conservative movement is wide open to influence from people who don’t share our values. When a major donor with a history of funding Media Matters, HIAS, and abortion-rights groups allegedly slips into the movement under a fake name and starts trying to steer organizations like Heritage, TPUSA, and even the MAGA base itself, that should be setting off alarms and raising red flags everywhere.
If even half of what Vish Burra laid out is true, it raises a serious question:
