Border Czar Claims He’ll Soon Be Doubling Down on Mass Deportations

More empty promises? Only time will tell.

White House Border Czar Tom Homan delivered a fiery rebuke to skeptics within President Donald Trump’s own base on Tuesday, declaring that large-scale immigration enforcement operations are intensifying and dismissing doubts about the administration’s commitment. Speaking at the Border Security Expo in Phoenix, Homan assured attendees that “mass deportations are coming” and warned that critics have underestimated the coming surge.

“You ain’t seen sh*t yet,” Homan told the crowd of Department of Homeland Security officials, industry representatives, and law enforcement personnel. “This year will be a good year. Mass deportations are coming.” He specifically targeted online critics he labeled “keyboard warriors,” stating, “For the people out there saying ‘President Trump’s getting weak on mass deportation,’ you don’t know what the hell you’re talking about.”

With Trump’s unpopular war in Iran gnawing away at his base, Homan’s rhetoric could have been a strategic ploy to rally the troops, something Napolean did prior to Waterloo. Still, one statement rings true, “You ain’t seen sh*t yet.”

Homan’s remarks come against a backdrop of robust but uneven enforcement efforts since Trump’s return to office. According to administration figures, ICE and Customs and Border Protection have carried out approximately 800,000 removals. While this represents a significant increase over previous years, some hard-line supporters have expressed impatience, arguing that operations have been too targeted or slowed by logistical challenges and public backlash.

Homan pulled back efforts in Minnesota, a mistake in my opinion, if only theatrics are considered. The agitprop of woke traitors violently defending alien criminals while they attacked ICE agents emphasized the need to purge Democrats as well as aliens.

The former acting ICE director outlined plans to “flood the zone” with officers in sanctuary jurisdictions that limit cooperation with federal authorities. He signaled that cities or states passing legislation restricting partnerships with ICE could expect heightened enforcement presence, including more worksite operations and targeted arrests. This approach aims to prioritize public safety threats while expanding overall capacity through additional agents and resources.

The speech reflects a recalibration after earlier incidents, notably operations in Minneapolis, noted above, that drew scrutiny following the deaths of U.S. citizens during enforcement actions. Homan has acknowledged that certain tactics required adjustment, shifting toward more focused efforts on criminal offenders while maintaining the broader goal of fulfilling Trump’s campaign promises on immigration.

Supporters view Homan’s no-nonsense style as essential for restoring border security and deterring illegal immigration. Critics, including some Democrats and immigrant advocacy groups, argue that aggressive tactics risk collateral impacts on communities and legal residents. Homan has consistently maintained that U.S. citizens and legal immigrants face no threat from these operation

As the administration ramps up hiring and operational tempo, Homan’s appearance at the expo — a key gathering for border security contractors and policymakers — served as both a rallying cry and a warning. With plans reportedly calling for thousands more enforcement agents, 2026 could mark a pivotal year in the nation’s immigration enforcement landscape.

The coming months will test whether the administration can translate tough rhetoric into sustained, large-scale results without further alienating segments of the public or facing legal and logistical hurdles. For now, Homan’s message is clear: the mass deportation effort is not slowing down — it is accelerating.
