Former CIA Director Pompeo: ‘We Must Ensure That History Books Erase Israel’s Crimes’
Former CIA Director Mike Pompeo told the Zionist MirYam Institute on Tuesday that “we must ensure” that history books erase all mention of Israeli crimes and “do not write about the victims of Gaza.”
“We must ensure that the story [of October 7] is told accurately, so that when history books write about this, they don’t write about the victims of Gaza,” Pompeo said.

“I need to be a little more specific. There were casualties in Gaza, right? That’s true. In every war ever fought, there have been civilian casualties, but the casualties were the people of the nation-state of Israel,” he continued. Information Liberation reports :
It sounds as if he’s talking about “erasing the memory of Amalek.” In the Hebrew Bible (Tanakh), Amalek is the archetypal enemy of the Israelites. In Deuteronomy 25:17-19 and 1 Samuel 15, God commands Israel to “eradicate the memory of Amalek.” For many Orthodox Jews, Amalek also includes Americans and Europeans.
The event’s host, IDF veteran Benjamin Anthony, also asked Pompeo if the GOP can “eradicate” anti-Israel voices like Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens, and the like, as their critical views on Israel make Zionists “uncomfortable.”
“I’m concerned about it because it’s gaining popularity,” Pompeo responded. “The most disturbing thing is that this is especially true among young people.”
While such positions are “still small,” Pompeo said he is “afraid that this will catch on — that these sparks will grow into something bigger.”
“And that is the responsibility of people like myself and others who understand that this is both dangerous and evil and a fundamental misunderstanding of American security to think that somehow there can be a better friend, an ally, than the nation of Israel.”
