George Zinn — A Deep Dive Into the Facts

George Zinn — A Deep Dive Into the Facts
George Zinn

“The Forrest Gump of Utah Politics” is a Mormon with deep Republican connections.

Now that Erika Kirk has officially filed for a speedy trial in the murder case against Tyler Robinson, and now that George Zinn has entered a guilty plea in his obstruction of justice and sexual exploitation of minors cases, it is probably time to lay out the available facts and put to bed some of the rumors and myths about one of the most suspicious figures who looms over the Kirk assassination case: George Zinn.

Interestingly, the Wikipedia page on the Assassination of Charlie Kirk doesn’t even mention George Zinn’s name. But the story of George Zinn and his activities on September 10, 2025 and in the week after Charlie Kirk’s assassination are well known to most people following the case. After Charlie Kirk was shot in his speaking tent at Utah Valley University, George Zinn immediately claimed aloud that he was the shooter and yelled for the police to shoot him.

Zinn was detained by police and later admitted that he faked his confession in order to distract police and help the real killer escape (this was reported by The NY Times and the Utah County Sheriff’s office website). The Utah County Sheriff’s website states:

While Zinn was at the hospital, an FBI Agent and an Agent from the Utah State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) met with Zinn who agreed to speak with them concerning the matter. Zinn admitted that he had yelled that he was the shooter to allow the actual suspect to flee and to hinder Law Enforcement. During the interview, the Agents asked to look at Zinn’s phone and Zinn agreed to let them. Zinn told the Agents that he uses his phone to view and abuse Child Sex Abuse Material and there may be some images on his phone. Those Agents did see several images on the phone of prepubescent girls scantily dressed.

So, Zinn handed his phone over to the FBI and SBI agents and conveniently volunteered the fact that there were images of scantily-clad underage girls on his phone that he had sent to other people. Zinn was then charged with one felony count of obstruction of justice for his police distraction stunt after the Kirk shooting and four (4) felony counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor for the child sexual imagery on his phone.

I would note that there is no apparent logical reason why George Zinn would tell police about the illegal child images on his phone, especially given how pedophiles tend to be treated in prison. Have the other individuals who George Zinn texted these images to been identified?

As noted, following his arrest on 9/10, George Zinn was taken to a local hospital for chest pain. Candace has reported that George Zinn told multiple nurses and doctors at the hospital that he was promised payment for his fake confession and police distraction activities. This particular claim has yet to be proven, but if it is true, it certainly suggests Zinn may have been involved in or used in some type of organized assassination plot against Kirk.

This extremely suspicious component and sub-story of the Charlie Kirk assassination (the George Zinn story) has been commented on by millions of Americans at this point, including many social media influencers, alternative investigators, podcasters, and public figures. Unfortunately, some widely believed information about Zinn is false (or at least lacks any serious evidence). Since the mainstream media has gone almost radio silent in its reporting on George Zinn since the week after Kirk’s assassination, the lack of clarity about Zinn’s past is partially the media’s fault.*

*The only recent media update on Zinn’s case was a local ABC affiliate article reporting that George Zinn had waived his preliminary hearing, though he appeared confused in court about what this meant. Here is the most recent update on Zinn’s case prior to the breaking news of his guilty plea deal.

**And as of today, 1/29/2026, the local ABC affiliate has reported that George Zinn has entered a plea deal for both his obstruction of justice charge and two of the sexual exploitation of a minor charges. See the most recent ABC article on George Zinn’s plea deal.

VIRAL MYTHS

The three most viral myths about Zinn that still persist are:

  1. George Zinn was Jewish or a “Jewish Sayanim”
  2. George Zinn “was at 9/11” or “was an eyewitness to the 9/11 attacks”
  3. George Zinn was a liberal

Most of the conspiracy and podcast world has taken some combination of these three myths as fact, and its time to correct the record. Most of these beliefs were spread on Twitter in the immediate aftermath of the Kirk assassination. Here are a few examples, ranging from the day of the assassination to just a few days ago:

-Jackson Hinkle’s Tweet saying George Zinn was involved in 9/11 propaganda Zinn got 13 million views:

-Another tweet saying (falsely) that Zinn was Jewish, which was viewed 8.6 million times:

-The notion of George Zinn being Jewish was repeated by Simon Goddek just last week, in a Tweet that received over 605,000 views:

-Patrick Bet David’s co-host, Vinny Oshana, also recently repeated the claim that George Zinn “was at 9/11”, though I share his overall suspicions of Zinn.

Antonio Brown, former NFL superstar receiver, also repeated the myth that George Zinn was Jewish in a Tweet:

-In an interview a couple weeks ago with Candace Owens, popular podcaster (and former DHS agent) Myron Gaines repeated the idea that George Zinn “was at 9/11” and Candace seemed to brush it off but didn’t disagree:

Myron Gaines: “That Zinn guy was at 9/11, too.”

Candace Owens: “Yeah, yeah. Just unbelievable.”

-Even the notorious Republican operative Roger Stone wrote repeated some of these unsubstantiated claims early on in his Substack piece from September . It doesn’t appear Stone has addressed the Zinn story since then.

Roger Stone wrote that George Zinn was a “leftist” and was a “witness” to the 9/11 attacks. Stone wrote:

A PECULIAR PROVOCATEUR

George Zinn, the leftist provocateur in the audience, caused a diversion and was detained at the perfect moment to give the rooftop shooter cover to perform their successful getaway. Zinn also was a witness to the Sept. 11 attacks and had been arrested in 2013 for making a false bomb threat during the Salt Lake City Marathon shortly after the Boston Marathon bombing. This dubious character being planted at the scene seems like more than an act of mere happenstance, especially considering he was arrested and hit with possession of media depicting child abuse days later. It would not be the first time that the feds have used a pedo predator for their own aims.

THE REALITY

The evidence suggests that all three of these things, namely that Zinn was Jewish, was at the 9/11 attacks in NYC, and that he was a leftist) are false.

  1. George Zinn was NOT Jewish. Zinn is ethnically Greek and was raised in the Mormon Church. It appears he has been a practicing Mormon all of his life, though at some point the Mormon (LDS) Church placed certain membership restrictions on him, which caused him to be followed by Mormon “authorities” when he went to public events, according to Zinn (2023 podcast). He was born in Athens, Greece in 1954 and adopted by Utah-based Mormon parents when he was just one (1) years old. George Zinn performed his “Mormon mission” after high school, and as a boy he says he sang in the Mormon Youth Chorus.Note: While I wouldn’t totally rule out the possibility that George Zinn was an asset of an intelligence, law enforcement or some other organization (even including Mossad), there is no evidence at present that links Zinn to Mossad or any other intel outfit.
  2. There is no evidence that George Zinn was in New York City on 9/11/01, nor was he an “eyewitness” to the 9/11 attacks. This myth appears to be the result of the viral video of Zinn that spread on Twitter in the days after Charlie Kirk was assassinated. Many popular social media accounts, including Jackson Hinkle, tweeted out the video, and the captions were somewhat misleading. In the video, George Zinn recounted his experiences on 9/11 and he clearly states that he was in a hotel in Denver, Colorado when the planes hit the towers. Zinn had just attended a Denver Broncos football game, and he “witnessed” the 9/11 attacks from a television set in Colorado. The 9/11 memorial video that Zinn made was for the Major Brent Taylor Foundation, which supports the legacy of a US military serviceman who happened to have been the former mayor of George Zinn’s old hometown of North Ogden, Utah.
  3. George Zinn was not a liberal or a leftist. All available evidence suggests he was a staunch conservative Republican for all of his adult life. Zinn appears to have had rather extensive, and in some cases, very deep connections to well-known figures at the very top of the Republican political establishment in Utah. (I explored this more below). In addition, George Zinn has been to almost every Republican National Convention going back to Reagan.

However, it is worth laying out as much information about George Zinn as possible, for the record. Most of the information I summarize and outline below comes from old online articles, archived newspapers, some credible social media posts, and the now-hidden (but still available) hour-long podcast interview of George Zinn by a local Utah political podcaster.

I would encourage everyone to listen to the interview of George Zinn from March 31, 2023. The podcast host was US Senator Mike Lee’s former Chief of Staff, Spencer Stokes. Stokes deleted the interview, but someone managed to archive the MP3, which is linked here: George Zinn 2023 Interview.

The interviewer, professional lobbyist Spencer Stokes, refers to Zinn as the “Forrest Gump of Utah Politics”. Based on Stokes’ reactions to Zinn talking about his arrests, it seems that Stokes was largely or almost completely unaware of Zinn’s history of legal issues, which was already quite extensive at the time of the interview in 2023.

Some of George Zinn’s own life story is best told by Zinn himself, but Zinn glosses over some of the more interesting and nefarious aspects of his life. I have been able to validate many of the things he said in the podcast with other online sources. I have also provided as much additional information as I could find, much of which is not addressed by Zinn in the podcast. The only prominent media figure that seems to have covered the 2023 Zinn podcast interview was James Li, but he didn’t delve into too much of it or try to validate or expand on some of Zinn’s claims. Nonetheless, the Zinn podcast interview is an important source.

(All of the information I outline below comes from a mix of the Zinn interview podcast and various other online sources that are linked within the text).

As an aside, there is an extremely interesting and seemingly credible podcast that goes into much more detail on the political (and criminal) climate surrounding George Zinn in Utah. I would recommend everyone listen to the podcast at some point, if only to assess the credibility of it. The podcast covers much broader topics than Zinn, covering the notorious Tim Ballard (who was recently in Israel and Syria), and the Utah County Sheriff’s department, “The Zion Cult” of the 1990s, and other sexual crimes/networks (known and suspected) including individuals connected to the Sundance Film Festival.

This podcaster discusses George Zinn’s connections and how they may intertwine with other nefarious activities and individuals (including sexual cults and criminal networks). Mormon Wars: Trump, Trafficking, SRA, and the Kirk Assassination

GEORGE ZINN – EARLY LIFE AND BACKGROUND

According to George Zinn in the podcast interview, Zinn was born in Athens, Greece in 1954. His adoptive parents were Overton Zinn and Utah residents, practiced the Mormon faith, and were in their 50s when they adopted him, and his mother decided to adopt him after looking at photos and traveled to New York City to pick him up in November of 1955. Zinn was 1.5 years when he came to America, and he is a naturalized citizen.

Zinn was raised in the Mormon faith (The Church of Latter Day Saints) and appears to have remained a lifelong practitioner of the Mormon faith (despite being banned from all church facilities at some point. Zinn claims the ban occurred in 1989, but it could have been later).

George Zinn’s father Overton Zinn worked for the Union Pacific Railroad Yard office in Ogden, Utah. Zinn wrote the following in a post on Union Pacific’s website back in 2012:

I am proud to be the son of a great Union Pacific father!

My daddy, Overton Zinn, worked at the Ogden Yard Office in magazine shipping for probably 40 years. He was rarely late for work, and worked harder and was more dedicated to his job than any man I’ve known. Daddy was a true role model for me.

He died when he was just 62 years old, on Oct. 16, 1966, so we never enjoyed his retirement years.

Daddy’s pension helped get me through my first years at the University of Utah. He would be proud of this 150th Anniversary, and I’m sure he would be recognized in the community of Ogden, Utah, as one of the stalwart employees of the company.

ALL ABOOOARRD!!!!!

Zinn’s adoptive father, Overton Zinn, was a Mormon, per his own obituary.

Zinn’s adoptive mother was a homemaker, according to Zinn. It is clear from Zinn’s mother’s obituary that the family was Mormon:

She was born March 23, 1906, in Ogden, Utah, the daughter of Leslie S. and Louie M. Taylor Hodgson. She married Overton Zinn on June 1, 1928, in Ogden. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He passed away on October 16, 1966.

A member of the Kaysville Pond’s Park LDS Ward. She served in various auxiliaries of the church, and enjoyed attending the temple. Norma spent her life serving others. Many people were blessed with her beautiful handwork. She felt honored to have been able to crochet an altar cloth for the Bountiful LDS Temple.

Zinn’s adoptive maternal grandfather, Leslie Hodgson, was a renowned Utah architect.

Zinn says he sang in the Mormon Youth Chorus, and a newspaper letter to the editor he wrote in 1975 seems to support this:

George Zinn - MYSC

Zinn has written numerous “Letters to the Editor” of various Utah newspapers over the years, and someone compiled them in blog, in case anyone has any interest (most are quite boring and probably irrelevant).

Zinn says he was a mediocre high school student but graduated with a GED in 1972. Zinn hints that he had a somewhat tense relationship with his mother, but nothing specific is mentioned. After high school, Zinn moved into an apartment in Salt Lake City.

The chronology of Zinn’s jobs and the time of his “Mormon mission” is not quite clear from his interview. But based on Zinn’s statements, Zinn at some point between 1972 and the mid-1980s did the following:

  • Completed his Mormon mission. The “Roanoke, VA Mission” under the oversight of Elder Rex Pedegar.
  • Was a student at University of Utah for a couple years before dropping out. He started out as a psychology major then switched to journalism. He dropped out because he said it was too stressful; Zinn said “college just wasn’t for me.” He never graduated from college.
  • Worked at Snelgrove’s Ice Cream factory for 6 years on the assembly line. He says the Snelgrove family became “like second family” to him.
  • Worked at Yellowstone National Park for one summer.
  • Worked a seasonal job at Maxfield Candy Company in Salt Lake City.

George Zinn also stated in the podcast interview that he worked at Deseret Industries, but he doesn’t provide any details or any explanation of what his job was.

Zinn doesn’t detail any of his work history beyond these jobs, and I could not find any information on his employment history or status online at all. However, as discussed below, Zinn was deeply involved in Utah politics and national politics, apparently working on several campaigns.

George Zinn’s Relationships and Marriage

George Zinn says in the interview that “girls took a second seat to me” but says he had a number of crushes in his youth. He noted one particular crush that he described as a “stalker type situation” (with Zinn being infatuated with the girl until she gave him signals that it wasn’t going to work out).

George Zinn was married for two weeks before separating from his wife, the late Kathleen Edwards. Zinn said in the podcast that Ms. Edwards worked for the IRS and was a “straight-laced Mormon girl.” Zinn seems to imply in the podcast that his marriage may have been in part the result of losing his apartment and needing a place to stay; in order to move in with his Ms. Edwards under Mormon doctrine, they had to be married. The details of Zinn’s brief marriage are not totally clear.

George Zinn does not have any children.

George Zinn was a huge fan of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, and he “tagged along” with them on a number of their tours. He knew Mac Christensen, the President of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

A the time of his recent arrest he lived across the street from the University of Utah. His address is public information, and it appears he lived in a small apartment building near the campus.

George Zinn was also a regular at the Sundance Film Festival and was something of a staple there, according to one article.

ZINN’S POLITICAL WORK & ASSOCIATIONS

  1. George Zinn claims to have attended ten (10) Republican National Conventions going back to Reagan’s conventions. Zinn also attended one Democratic convention that happened to be located near the Republican convention. One article from 2012 states:In 1988, as the story goes, Zinn appeared at the Republican National Convention in New Orleans but had no place to stay. So T.H. Bell, the Utahn who was Ronald Reagan’s secretary of education, let him sleep on a cot in his hotel room.
  2. In the 2023 podcast interview, George Zinn claims to have “known” every single Utah governor since he was an adult. Zinn says he was particularly close to Utah governor Gary Herbert.Note: Zinn specifically noted that and current Utah Governor Spencer Cox were some of the only Utah governors who deliberately avoided him.
  3. Zinn has been a long-time friend (or at least a former friend) of former Utah House Speaker and current Chief Lobbyist in DC for the Mormon Church, Marty Stephens. He claims he and Marty Stephens went to school together and have kept in touch until the present day. Zinn stated in the 2023 interview:“Yeah Marty’s a good friend of mine.”
  4. George Zinn says he knew every director of the Hinckley Institute at the University of Utah. In the podcast, Zinn specifically noted his relationship with former Hinkley Center director and BYU Vice President RJ Snow. He also noted that RJ Snow died in a car crash in Provo, Utah.
  5. George Zinn worked on the US Senate campaign of Norm Coleman of Minnesota, Paul Wellstone’s opponent, in September/October of 2002. He says he was “deployed” to Minnesota to work on this campaign. Deployed by who? Zinn doesn’t say. Paul Wellstone died in a plane crash later that month, and Coleman won the election.A November 2002 article in Deseret News states the following, in regard to Zinn’s work on Norm Coleman’s 2002 US Senate campaign:Later, on the phone, I asked George what he was doing in Minnesota, which is when he told me about working for Coleman. “They said they needed help,” said George. “They said this could make a difference.”Who’d have thought, a month later, that Wellstone would be killed in a tragic plane crash while campaigning, that former Vice President Walter Mondale would jump in to try to save the seat for the Democrats, that the Democrats would turn Wellstone’s funeral service into a campaign rally . . . and that Norm Coleman, the guy George Zinn campaigned for, would win anyway?America. What a country.“One man or one woman can make a difference,” a politician once said. That politician was Jim Jeffords.Who’d have thought it would be George Zinn?
  6. In 2004, George Zinn signed a public political ad/peitition endorsing the Utah Defense of Marriage constitutional amendment defining marriage as strictly between one man and one woman.
  7. George Zinn claims to have once traveled from Utah to Las Vegas, NV just to heckle John Kerry. He claims to have held up a sign that said “John (expletive) Kerry”, which caused him to be kicked out of Kerry’s rally.
  8. Zinn says that he knew Orrin Hatch but wasn’t allowed at his funeral.
  9. In 2020, George Zinn appeared at a campaign event for Utah House speaker and gubernatorial candidate Greg Hughes:https://www.sltrib.com/news/politics/2020/01/08/former-house-speaker-greg/
  10. Zinn attended CPAC in 2022 in Florida. A 2022 Sarasota Herald-Tribune article that mentions Roger Stone, General Michael Flynn and MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell also quotes George Zinn. The 2022 article states:Utah resident George Zinn said “of course” the election was stolen, arguing that Democrats would “do anything to orchestrate to make sure that their candidate gets in.”
  11. George Zinn says he worked on Utah Congresswoman Mia Love’s campaigns (plural). Congresswoman Love died tragically in 2025 at the young age of 49; on Love’s Obituary webpage, George Zinn posted the following:
  1. As Candace Owens and other Twitter users have reported, George Zinn is quoted on Republican Phil Lyman’s 2024 Utah gubernatorial campaign website. Zinn is one of only a handful of people whose endorsement Phil Lyman posted on his website:
  2. Despite his stanch conservative/Republican bonafides, when the interviewer asked George Zinn in 2023 who his favorite politician was, Zinn said it was his own state rep, Democrat Brian King. Brian King Zinn states in the podcast:Stokes: Who’s your favorite politician in the state of Utah?Zinn: Well I like the ones I’m close to. I like the ones in the House. Actually you’d be surprised by my answer I think.Stokes: Okay I want to hear it.Zinn: Brian King, my rep.Stokes: Your rep? No kidding.Zinn: Brian’s nice to me. He’s a Democrat but he listens, he returns my calls. I have great respect for Brian. We’ve had lunch together.I find it interesting that George Zinn appears on Republican Phil Lyman’s Utah gubernatorial campaign website, while also stating that his favorite politician is his own state rep, Democrat Brian King. Brian King is now the Chair of the Utah Democratic Party. In addition, Zinn stated in the podcast that he was not a fan of current Utah Governor Spencer Cox:Zinn: “Governor Cox snubs me. But that’s his issue.”Phil Lyman and Brian King (both of whom George Zinn knew well) appeared together in an anti-Cox campaign ad together bashing Spencer Cox. Phil Lyman’s antipathy towards his intra-party enemy, Spencer Cox, is strong enough that Lyman said he thought the Democrat Brian King would be a better choice for governor than his fellow Republican Cox. George Zinn seems to be of a similar opinion. Phil Lyman, Brian King, and George Zinn all seem to have been close in the past three years or so, or at least knew each other somewhat well. Here is the a video on Phil Lyman and Brian King’s bipartisan campaign ad opposing Republican Spencer Cox:

Per Phil Lyman’s Wikipedia page:

He subsequently promoted his own write-in campaign for governor in a campaign ad for Democratic nominee Brian King.[4]

George Zinn knew both of these men. Lyman was also an on-site witness to the Charlie Kirk assassination and spoke with him behind the stage just before the event started:

Interestingly, Charlie Kirk’s opinion on Governor Spencer Cox appears to mirror the opinions of George Zinn, Phil Lynam, and Brian King. In 2022, Charlie Kirk tweeted that Spencer Cox should be expelled from the Republican Party, mainly due to Cox’s stance on transgender participation in youth sports:

  1. In the 2023 podcast, Zinn states that he was also “deployed” to New York state in 2022 to work on a campaign, but he doesn’t say which campaign or candidate he worked for.
  2. Following his arrest and detainment on 9/10/2025, the Utah Republican issued the following statement in a publicly available Facebook post:

Some of Zinn’s associates, such as Republican strategist Leo Lines, who commented on the above Facebook post that he knew Zinn for 30 years, believed that Zinn had become mentally ill and unstable.

There are many other connections and associations that I may be missing, including some that George Zinn mentions in his podcast interview with Spencer Stokes. Some of George Zinn’s other connections are explored in a much more explosive podcast that to date has received little viewership, but deserves to analyzed:

Mormon Wars: Trump, Trafficking, SRA, and the Kirk Assassination

GEORGE ZINN’S CRIMINAL HISTORY AND FINANCES

“They’re going to name a (jail) wing after me pretty soon.” – George Zinn in 2023 podcast interview

George Zinn appears to have not had a steady occupation or job throughout most of his life, which raises the question of how he could travel so frequently and extensively around the country. Hopefully someone who knew Zinn intimately, like Marty Stephens, perhaps, could come forward and explain if they know anything about Zinn’s full employment history, especially any jobs he had after working in the candy store and ice cream factory.

In old newspaper archives, there are at least two “lien of sale” listings for George Zinn at his apartments (see here), suggesting he had to sell some of his personal belongings to settle unpaid rent or other debts.

Zinn was arrested and jailed in 2012 for sneaking onto public transportation numerous times without paying, and then failing to pay the associated fines. Salt Lake City councilman and member of the locally famous Snelgrove business family, Richard Snelgrove, was asking people on Facebook to help pay George Zinn’s fines for him:

According to Tribune columnist Paul Rolly, Zinn was arrested after failing to pay fines he incurred for getting caught riding TRAX and FrontRunner trains without paying the fare. He faces six months in jail if he doesn’t pay the $1,700 in outstanding fines.

Rolly also writes that Richard Snelgrove, a Salt Lake County councilman and former Utah Republican Party chairman, has put out a plea on the Utah GOP’s Facebook page to raise money to pay off Zinn’s fines. (Zinn is as ubiquitous at GOP meetings as he once was at movie screenings.)

Another 2012 article also states that Zinn appears to have “no visible means of support”:

Zinn is a Republican supporter who has never held a position in the party, has no visible means of support, wears faded jeans, work shirts and tennis shoes to the fancy events, but always mysteriously shows up to anything the Utah Republican Party is involved with — including the national conventions, although nobody knows how he manages to get there.

In many ways, he has become the unofficial mascot of the Utah Republican contingent, and several months ago, when he was thrown in the Davis County Jail for failing to pay fines for riding TRAX and FrontRunner trains without proof of payment, Salt Lake County Councilman and former GOP State Chairman Richard Snelgrove launched a fundraising drive to pay the $1,700 in outstanding fines to “free George.

-Also in 2012, Zinn was kicked out of a mall during their grand opening. See this article: George Zinn: Out of jail, in trouble at City Creek

-The most nationally known and reported crime of George Zinn before 9/10/2025 came just before the 2013 Salt Lake City Marathon, when George Zinn emailed the organizers of the Salt Lake City Marathon asking if they needed help planting bombs at the finish line (he says he was joking, but he sent this email in the weeks following the Boston Marathon bombing:

“As Salt Lake City’s ABC affiliate reports, police say that Zinn emailed to race organizers a request to leave bombs at the finish of the Salt Lake City Marathon, which was run on April 20.

A neighbor told the TV station that, the day before his arrest, Zinn described the email as a joke.

Zinn is reportedly well-known to the police for pranks and similar antics, and was removed from a hotel at last summer’s Republican National Convention in Tampa Bay, Florida for trespassing.”

George Zinn 2013

-Zinn was arrested in 2019 for fighting protestors who were protesting the Port Authority. See this article: Five Arrested in Violent Inland Port Protests.

-At 40:00 or so in the 2023 podcast interview, Zinn said that he is banned from most church buildings (which started in 1989, according to Zinn) and that he is“persona non-grada” and his status with the Mormon Church has been litigated. He said that the Mormon Church was represented by the notorious law firm, Kirton McConkie, which also runs the sexual abuse hotline for the Mormon (LDS) Church.

Zinn noted that the Mormon “authorities” monitor almost everywhere he goes where there might be high profile people:

“They’re aware of me almost anywhere that I go where there might be high profile people…where they think George is.”

“I’m fine with the UHP people.” (Utah Highway Patrol…same as Utah state police).

It seems quite clear that George Zinn had financial problems all of his life, likely exacerbated by his various legal problems that seem to have become more frequent in the decade of the 2010s. Therefore, it isn’t too hard to believe that Candace’s claim about Zinn being paid to distract police, and that Zinn might have been easy to bribe for this purpose.

Some of Zinn’s associates, such as Republican strategist Leo Lines, commented on a publicly available Facebook post that he knew Zinn for 30 years and said that Zinn had become mentally ill and unstable.

GEORGE ZINN AND OTHER STRANGE INFORMATION:

There is an extremely interesting and seemingly credible podcast that goes into much more detail on the political (and criminal) climate surrounding George Zinn in Utah. I would recommend everyone listen to the podcast at some point, if only to assess the credibility of it. The podcast covers much broader topics than Zinn, covering the notorious Tim Ballard (who was recently in Israel and Syria), and the Utah County Sheriff’s department, “The Zion Cult” of the 1990s, and other sexual criminals/networks (known and suspected) including individuals connected to the Sundance Film Festival. He also discusses the case of David Hamplin in Utah County, the same sheriff’s office who prosecuted Zinn.

This podcaster, “The Farm Podcast Mach II” discusses George Zinn’s connections and how they may intertwine with other nefarious activities and individuals (including sexual cults and criminal networks). Mormon Wars: Trump, Trafficking, SRA, and the Kirk Assassination

Again, I highly recommend that people listen to the podcast simply to provide an opinion as to its credibility. One interesting point the podcaster makes is the following:

But let’s get back to George Zinn, here. So, he tells the Utah County Sheriff’s department -that has theoretically been investigating a reported satanic cult engaged in ritual abuse for years- that he, Mr. Zinn, has has child p*rn on his phone. And then he tells them that he shares it with other people. One almost feels like Zinn is challenging the Utah County Sheriff’s department to investigate those individuals.

A lot of effort has been made to dismiss George Zinn as a crank. But while his behavior is no doubt strange, there may be a method to it. His performance following the Kirk assassination practically seems like a parody of what one of Alex Jones’s “space monkeys” would think a crisis actor should act like. In theory, a crisis actor should blend in with the crowd an seem natural to audiences. In contrast, Zinn’s behavior is so bizarre that its impossible to not notice and speculate upon it.

I found this opinion to be interesting. What was George Zinn’s end game? Just food for thought.

OTHER MEDIA COVERAGE OF GEORGE ZINN

One thing that is apparent in researching Zinn is that he seems to have a special knack for getting the media outlets to quote him and take photos of him.

-An article from 2021 shows Zinn at a pro-Trump rally:

-2015: George Zinn at funeral of Utah Governor:

-2012: George Zinn in Romney 2012 shirt at rally.

-Another example, there is an article from 2012 that quotes Zinn at a Mitt Romney book signing in Utah:

Another article from 2010 shows a photo of George Zinn with Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas:

George Zinn with Clarence Thomas in 2010.

George Zinn was at the sexual assault trial of Kobe Bryant, as many Twitter users have noted. Zinn’s presence was reported in a 2003 CBS News article:

A handful of people lined up at the courthouse to get passes for the hearing. Among them was George Zinn of Salt Lake City, who arrived on a Greyhound bus to watch the spectacle.

“I don’t consider Kobe a role model,” he said.

IMPLICATIONS

It is safe to say that all the available evidence suggests that George Zinn was not Jewish or a Jewish “Sayanim”, but rather a Greek ethnic and a Mormon. Aside from his adopted father’s surname of Zinn, which is both an Ashkenazi Jewish and a Gentile surname, there exists no evidence that either Zinn or his adoptive parents were Jewish. They were clearly practicing Mormons.

In addition, the claim that George Zinn “was at 9/11” or “was an eyewitness of 9/11”, which have been repeated by the likes of Roger Stone, Vinny of the PBD Podcast, NFL Star Antonio Brown, Candace Owens, and former DHS agent-turned-podcaster Myron Gaines, these claims appear to be simply misinterpretations of a viral video where Zinn talks about his experiences from that day.

And as we have documented, George Zinn not a liberal; it seems he was a conservative Republican by any reasonable definition.

In summary, George Zinn was not Jewish; he ethnically Greek and raised from infancy in the Church of Ladder-Day Saints by his non-Jewish adoptive parents. He witnessed 9/11 from the television in a hotel in Denver, Colorado and made a video recounting his experiences on 9/11 for The Major Brent Taylor Foundation. George Zinn was a practicing Mormon and he was not in New York on 9/11. And George Zinn was not a .leftist.

Zinn identified as a Mormon and was deeply connected to both the LDS Church and the (overwhelmingly Mormon) political establishment in Utah. Some of his notoriety in the Utah political establishment was unsought (by the political class), but some of Zinn’s high profile connections appear to have been more cordial and mutually friendly than many would like to admit now. In particular, George Zinn’s connections to Phil Lyman, Brian King, Marty Stephens, Mia Love, Richard Snelgrove and Governor Gary Herbert seem to have been far deeper than simple fist-bumping and dealing with a pest-like “gadfly”, at least according to Zinn and some evidence in the public record.

So what to make of this?

We are left with the fact that the three most suspicious people at the heart of the Charlie Kirk assassination case – George Zinn, Tyler Robinson, and Lance Twiggs- appear to have been, to one degree or another, Mormon outcasts from conservative backgrounds. In the case of Zinn, he was a staunch conservative Republican for all of his adult life, right up until the time he was arrested on 9/10/2025 for felony obstruction of justice and his subsequent arrest on four (4) felony counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.

In the case of the Lance Twiggs, his family kicked him out of their house because he drifted away from the Mormon faith, which presumably had something to do with his identification as transgender. This was reported in the NY Post. Twiggs also went missing for weeks, and it appears he was under FBI protection. Candace Owens reporting on her discussions with Lance Twiggs family are worth re-reviewing, for anyone interested.

Robinson’s family consulted their Mormon youth pastor before turning Tyler Robinson into police, as the LA Times reported.

And in the case of Tyler Robinson, he was dating and moved in with the transgendered Twiggs, which are both clear violations of LDS Church doctrine. **It is worth noting that Mormons have been the most conservative religious sect of any religion when it comes to rejection of homosexuality, and transgender individuals are banned from being baptized into the Mormon faith.

One may speculate that official or unofficial lists of ostracized Mormons might provide a useful list of potential patsies for a Deep State or foreign intelligence operation or assassination. This would ensure that neither the Mormon nor Republican establishments in Utah would come to their defense, as appears to be the case in the Charlie Kirk assassination. This is pure speculation on my part.

The Utah Republican Party issued a formal statement condemning George Zinn in the aftermath of the Kirk assassination. And as far as I know, no one in the Mormon Church or Utah political establishments have attempted to defend the innocence of Zinn or Robinson. This makes sense, since they would obviously prefer to distance themselves from these two suspicious, apparently criminal, individuals.

Regarding Zinn, two key sets of questions remain:

  1. Are Candace Owens’ claims about Zinn being offered payment to fake a confession to distract the police true? Were the nurses/hospital staff telling the truth to Candace Owens? If so, was Zinn telling the truth about being offered payment for this stunt that obstructed police? If so, who offered to pay Zinn?
  2. Was George Zinn an asset (or employee) of some political machine, intelligence agency, law enforcement agency or other network? How did he make enough money to travel so extensively despite no apparent consistent job or means of income? What was the true extent and nature of his political connections in Utah and beyond?

Dozens upon dozens of political junkies, campaign organizers, lobbyists, and state and federal politicians in Utah knew George Zinn. Many in the Mormon Church and academic establishment knew Zinn. Some apparently knew him extremely well and on a personal basis. Some of them should come forward to honestly explain who this man really was.

Lastly, many have pointed out the large amount of circumstantial evidence of possible Israeli involvement in the Kirk assassination, and I have not rehashed any of that interesting evidence here. One thing worth noting, however, is that the FBI supposedly ended their intimate, 80+ year relationship with the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) in the wake of Charlie Kirk’s assassination. The ADL had included Charlie Kirk’s Turning Points USA organization in their list of “hate groups”.

The Mormon presence in the FBI and CIA is well known, including among some in the Utah media. Nick Fuentes has even suggested that the “Mormon Mafia” should be looked at as it pertains to the Kirk assassination:

Fuentes has received a large volume of criticism in the aftermath of the Kirk assassination, some of it deserved. But in the above clip, his points aren’t totally ludicrous ones. But we should also recall what Jonathan Greenblatt said just a few weeks ago in regard to the ADL’s new strategy for building alliances with other groups. Greenblatt notes that the ADL will continue to foster alliance between “Jews and Mormons” and that this alliance, among others, can “change the world”.

Mormons are a growing population with some of the highest birthrates in the United States of any religious group, and they have clearly had success in the past in swaying Mormons to the cause of Israel. Here is one example:

So it appears Jonathan Greenblatt thinks the ADL needs to move beyond their old model, which relied heavily on partnership with black interest groups and civil rights groups and evangelical White Protestants. Perhaps Candace Owens and Charlie Kirk have something to do with this? Certainly plausible.

What is clear is that the ADL, an organization that despises Candace Owens and also labeled TPUSA a “hate group” under Charlie Kirk’s leadership, views Mormons as an integral present and future partner of the Jewish people and the pro-Israel cause.

Was George Zinn a portal into something deeper regarding the Kirk assassination? Or was he simply a mentally ill “gadfly” who just distracted police for the hell of it? The mystery of George Zinn is not fully resolved, but its important not to leave any stone unturned.
