Trump’s Latest Deal Isn’t Settled – And May Not Be.

Anyone who knew that Trump was about to annouce his near-acceptance of a recyled Obama agreement between the USA and Iran, would have been able to make (another) killing with oil futures and various energy-related stocks.

Perhaps that explains everything, whatever the end goal of the people operating the Orange Puppet, it’s clear that members of his inner circle are being allowed to dive repeatedly into the speculation trough with their inside knowledge.

In which case, we can expect yet another reversal within 48 hours. Indeed, Don Don has already prepared the way with his comment – virtually ignored by all sorts of commentators desperate for some good news – “If they don’t agree, the bombing starts, and it will be, sadly, at a much higher level and intensity than it was before.”

Or perhaps, just possibly, it’s for real this time. In which case the most likely reason is that wiser heads than Netanyahu and Smotrich have prevailed in Tel Aviv and its sub-office on the Hill. With the IDF getting bogged down yet again in Lebanon (and that before Hezbollah fully roll out jamming-proof fibre optic drones) and alarm over the possibility of another round of watching Iranian missiles turn the Iron Dome into a giant kitchen colander, the argument for avoiding another escalation may have won – for now at least.

That message will also be coming from the real military experts and planners – the ones who even before Trump went to war advised him that it was a really bad idea. See the Washington Post headline below for confirmation of the problems faced both by Israel and by the US military.

There’s another potential ‘peace party’ among the grown ups too. With Trump’s upcoming visit to China still on, there will be plenty of backdoor discussions between the US and the CCP. Perhaps Beijing took the opportunity of offering the President a sort of ‘deal’ of their own: Get your naval boot off our oil supply line and come for a smile-fest, or we’ll remove it by force and add to your public humiliation even more.

That said, it’s hard to see that Trump and the USA could be any more humiliated – short of having half their Middle East fleet sunk – than will be the case if this Worstest, Most Ugliest Deal in History does become reality.

Iran might just agree to some sort of uranium deal on the Obama line, but part of the price is already clear. Tehran’s newly created Persian Gulf Strait Authority insists that any deal must put control over the Strait of Hormuz, including the collection of tolls, in the hands of Iran.

If this goes ahead, it will be humilation on such a scale that History will date the end of the short American Century of global hegemony either from the date of the start of the Trump/Netanyahu war, or from the signing of this ‘deal’.

Former allies and client states will read the writing on the wall and move sharply in the direction of BRICS. The wave of desperate oil buying which will being the moment the Straits open will involve fewer Dollars and more Yuan, Rubles and Rupees. Dedollarisation, both in oil sales and in global trade generally, will speed up even further. When it comes to international trade, this deal will send the US$ in the direction of wampum beads.

US retreat from global military empire will become unavoidable financial necessity. As for US weapons systems, even in the hands of two military giants, they couldn’t defeat a third or fourth rate power, and have shown themselves to be as overrated as they are overpriced.

The Unipolar World which arrived in 1945 just ended. Welcome to multipolarity if we’re lucky, and ChinaWorld if we are less so. Although Chinese trading imperialism is a lot less exploitative and disruptive for the Third World than the Yankee bomb-and-quarry approach, and the more middle class consumers China helps to create in Afghanistan and Africa, the fewer Afghans and Africans will want to up sticks and wash up here as ‘refugees’.

That’s if this ‘deal’ is for real, which it could still very easily turn out not to be. The US and ultra-Zionist deep states continue to have a huge vested interest in the wholesale destruction of the energy infrastructure of the entire Gulf region.

That objective, however, has such terrible implications for the whole world that even the pyschopaths involved know that they need to cover their tracks and put in place the right excuses.

‘Orange Man Mad’ + ‘Crazy Death-Wish Mullahs’ = Global Disaster is an equation which would surely keep the mainstream media satisfied and most of the public reassured that their woes are the result of a terrible accident.

In which case, the current ‘near deal’ will break down like all the other plans before it. Not be accident, but because it’s meant to fail.

The aim in such a case would not be peace, but camouflage; window-dressing to sell the argument “Look how hard we tried, but they left us no alternative. Yes, we’ve wrecked your world, but we really didn’t have a choice. So quit your whining and accept the gov-corp boot stamping on your face. Forever.”
