Postcards from the Empire

The questions begin to mount. I don’t consider myself an expert on tariffs but do know they played an important role in American history before the country changed into a global(ist) empire. There was no income tax until 1913, but there had always been tariffs. One was more or less exchanged for the other, resulting in the monstrous, feared bureaucracy known as the Internal Revenue Service along with an ever-increasing number of three-letter agencies and the millions of pages of often arbitrary rules and policies used to keep the public in line.

I support President Trump’s program of reciprocal tariffs, which is intended to create fairer trade between the United States and the rest of the world. It is a strong blow to globalism, which is why the globalists are predictably howling. Liberals are of course howling too, because it is Trump pushing them. Trump is still Hitler to them even if they’ve stopped calling him that quite as often.

And many normal Americans are howling too, some of them strong MAGA supporters. Those invested in the stock market don’t like it when it goes down, even though ups and downs over time is the most notable characteristic of the stock market. The mostly phony financialization of everything since the crisis of ’08 has gotten Americans used to the Dow Jones, S&P 500, and the NASDAQ rising at healthy rates much of the time. It’s supposed to just go up now and when it doesn’t instant panic sets in.

The entire post-WWII world order is rapidly changing, including trade relations between countries and blocs of countries, and that’s a good thing. Washington has been stuck with a mindset cemented in the glorious days of 1945 since, well, 1945. Trump and Vice President J. D. Vance to their credit understand the seismic changes taking place and are trying to rebuild American strength in the midst of the ongoing jockeying for position taking place around the world.

So President Trump should continue to be supported when it comes to tariffs. He’s risking his legacy on this issue and deserves a full opportunity to succeed. The bigger question is whether the communist/globalist coalition – still reeling from the 2024 election but also still firmly entrenched in almost all institutions of power and control – will prevent him from succeeding.

And then there’s the question of whether America is too far gone to ever reindustrialize in a major way with a dumbed down, re-made population that has little sense of history and lacks meaningful attention spans and often has a poor work ethic or none at all. The difficulty many small and medium-sized businesses have had hiring competent help since the Covid-related lockdowns ended attests to that.

There’s also the BRICS coalition to contend with, as well as actors such as the Houthis, and Iran, who have the ability to shut down international trade through the Suez Canal.

So it’s a treacherous path ahead, but that’s not my main concern. What should worry every Trump supporter, everyone who wants to see the U.S. not only just survive the communist/globalist onslaught, but thrive again, is the seeming complete lack of any kind of offensive being launched against the left domestically by the administration.

Trump came back into office and immediately signed a flurry of executive orders that thrilled his base, rightfully so. It seemed like this time he meant business. But executive orders are often more symbolic than substantive. If the Democrats regain the White House in ’28 and if they have a congressional majority, all those executive orders will quickly be overwritten as fast as Trump discarded many of Sleepy Joe’s EOs.

Far more than enacting tariffs, if the United States is ever to become a healthy country again, the radical left must be completely defanged and smashed, and it must be done in a way that this internal enemy, this poison, can never again be permitted to “march through the institutions” and subvert America from within.

But after a great start by the Trump Administration, it’s been mostly crickets on that all-important front. Maybe a lot is being done behind the scenes and so the benefit of the doubt should be given at the present time. . . but still, is there something, anything to feel optimistic about?

Trump won in 2016 in part by excoriating Hillary Clinton, leading to “lock her up” chants at his rallies, and Trump himself saying during one of that year’s debates that she’d be in jail if he was elected. It was all for show by a master showman.

But now, after nine years of being subjected to a color revolution, endless hoaxes, endless lies and attacks from what he brilliantly dubbed the “fake news media,” multiple impeachments, endless lawsuits and lawfare attempts to criminalize, jail and even kill him, the list of people who committed crimes against Trump is very long. And the list of crimes committed against the American People by a Biden Cabal that considered them domestic enemies, particularly J6ers and “dissidents” in general, is also very long.

Is the brazen theft of the 2020 election being investigated? What about the plandemic, the actions of Fauci, Birx, Collins and so many others? What about the J6 House Committee, which engaged in widespread lies and fraud and which as happens so frequently whenever a spotlight is shined on government corruption, conveniently “lost” all its files.

Elon Musk’s DOGE has already exposed fraud and criminality on a grotesque scale.

The flip flopping and lack of needed action that characterized Trump’s first administration may be rearing its head again.

And that’s just a small sliver of the crime and fraud engaged in openly over the past four years. As Americans have painfully learned, there is a two-tiered justice system, that shields government and other well-connected bad actors from accountability.

IS THE LACK OF ACCOUNTABILITY FOR GOVERNMENT CRIMINALITY GOING TO BE ALLOWED TO CONTINUE UNDER TRUMP 2.0???

U.S. politics has never seen a major figure remotely like Trump when it comes to insulting and attacking his enemies. Yet he appears to be more saintly than Mother Theresa when it comes to forgiving and forgetting.

RFK Jr. might be seen pictured on milk cartoons soon. Tulsi? Nothing notable from her yet. Pam Bondi has so far shown all the earmarks of being a RINO. Matt Gaetz was a far better choice for Attorney General.

Kash Patel? He was supposed to be hard-core MAGA, yet has appointed Steven Jensen to head the FBI’s Washington field office. As Miranda Devine of The New York Post noted:

“The promotion of Steven Jensen, the architect of the FBI’s overzealous January 6 investigation, to head the Washington Field Office has confounded Donald Trump supporters and crushed their hopes that new FBI Director Kash Patel would reform the bureau and root out those who targeted the president and his backers.

“As the chief of the Domestic Terrorism Operations Section at FBI Headquarters in Washington, DC, from 2020 until October 2021, Jensen also oversaw the bureau’s controversial operations targeting parents at school board meetings and Catholics going to traditional Latin Mass.

“Plucking him from relative obscurity in South Carolina to head the FBI’s most powerful field office sends exactly the wrong message.”

Trump, the head of the MAGA movement, has endorsed ultra-RINO Lindsey Graham in his upcoming re-election campaign in South Carolina. Yes, that Lindsey Graham, the slithering back-stabbing pretend conservative. And at the same time he was endorsing Graham, Trump viciously attacked Thomas Massie, the best House Republican, and urged that Massie be “primaried.” Maybe Trump will also soon endorse the re-election of super-RINO John Cornyn in Texas over that state’s outstanding true-blue AG, Ken Paxton.

How genuine and organic can a true grassroots “counter-revolution” be when it’s dominated and run by billionaires. For the only way America can survive is through a counter-revolution that ruthlessly exposes and eliminates the revolutionaries and subversives who have run wild the past, take your pick, four years, 20 years, 60 years. And that points out just how far advanced and entrenched the rot is and how difficult it will be to extricate.

Corporations and institutions are supposedly moving away from DEI, yet what evidence do we have for that? Just last night on Laura Ingraham’s show on Fox News, there was a report on how some of the radical-left corporations are continuing business as usual, merely rebranding DEI (which itself was a rebranding of the terms quotas and affirmative action) with another name.

The ubiquitous advertising industry, which has been propagandizing and molding the mass American mind for over a century, is still presenting Blacks – not much over a tenth of the population – as a super-majority, an incredibly mentally and physically gifted super-race. Whitey is also increasingly being replaced in the “mainstream” media in general, by Indians, the recently imported overseer class, and Orientals. White men in advertising have been relegated to predominantly silent background roles when seen at all, unless the script calls for a few idiots, which is the only time an ad without any minorities is seen. Oh, and in Advertising World, all Whites are married to non-Whites.

Zuckerberg and Bezos supposedly jumped on the Trump Train, but is there any evidence that social media and search engine censorship has ended in any but the most minor of ways? Is PayPal now allowing the many people whose accounts they terminated for political reasons to re-open them?

And as for the “largest deportation operation in history,” the bad guys seem to be leaving the country in very small numbers. There’s some 10 or 20 million illegals in the United States. At this rate the number of them will not decline by even a million over the next four years.

And what about legal immigration. There’s been no moves toward having an extended moratorium on all immigration, or ending the H1-B visa program that is being used to replace the White professional class just as the open southern border was used to replace a large portion of the White working class.

It’s still all but “illegal” among the elite conservative class to write or say the words “Great Replacement.” The next time Trump notes the existence of Whites in America, much less their right to exist and thrive, will be the first. A bit confusing given that his enemies consider him to be literal Hitler.

Trump is a centrist who truth be told is pretty liberal on social issues. I didn’t expect miracles after he won the election, but if he’s going to play Mother Theresa instead of demanding a reckoning for the crimes against him and us by the Biden Cabal, then except for those who follow him with a cult-like devotion, there’s going to be mass disappointment and anger of the worst kind at what’s perceived as a betrayal.

I will add again that I haven’t given up. I hope there’s a lot going on behind the scenes that hasn’t been made public yet. But if there is, it’s time to let MAGA know about some of it, otherwise a lot of people are going to start thinking the worst, and they’ll probably be right.
