Postcards from the Empire

Fake News everywhere.
John Velleco, Executive Vice President Gun Owners of America, wrote an article the other day accusing Attorney General Pam Bondi of “sabotaging the Trump coalition.” Bondi has indeed been horrible, a more attractive version of Trump’s previous Attorney General Bill Barr, who was also widely accused of “sabotaging” Trump.
We’re supposed to believe apparently that Donald Trump is still so naïve after a decade at or near the pinnacle of the national political stage that he continues to repeatedly bring people into his Cabinet who then turn around and “sabotage” him, and that Trump is helpless to do anything about it. The man who now claims to “run” Venezuela, who has threatened Greenland (and NATO indirectly) with military action, who claims the right to institute “regime change” in various countries like Iran no matter how many Iranians are killed in the process, somehow becomes a whimpering puppy in the face of resistance inside his own Cabinet.
Marjorie Taylor Greene was absolutely savaged by Trump when she dared to oppose him, as was Thomas Massie. Trump has no qualms about calling MTG a “traitor” and Massie a “Democrat RINO” and even making personal attacks on Massie’s wife, who he recently married after the tragic death of his first wife. But Blondie Bondi can somehow manage to spend a year-plus “sabotaging” Trump and his alleged “MAGA” agenda without repercussions from the man who became famous because of how easily and readily he fired people on a TV show and in real life.
To be fair, Velleco also writes: “Yet inexplicably, the Trump Administration has failed to take even basic steps to effect permanent change. For example, the Administration often has taken the easy path of using temporary Executive Orders rather than insisting on permanent legislation. Of course, Executive Orders are temporary, and can be undone by any future President with the stroke of a pen.”

It’s hardly all Blondie’s fault
But then he later adds: “The pattern is clear. And it appears that gun owners are not the only group from the 2024 Trump Presidential Coalition that Pam Bondi’s DOJ has been working to undermine in court. In fact, the Bondi DOJ is resisting litigation by Trump Coalition groups almost as much as the Biden DOJ did.”
That’s all true. But when do the fingers start pointing at the appropriate person? Or are we going to have Trump’s cult of personality still idolizing him 40 years from now much the same as the Reagan cult of personality still continues decades after The Actor proved to be as phony as Trump.
Trump is not an “outsider.” He knew all the power players before he ran for President and was, and remains, friends with many of them. Perhaps his two most famous promises in 2016 were “build the wall” and “lock her up.” Neither happened. Oh, a smallish section of wall was built, and the invasion from the south has been halted temporarily, but what do you think will happen when the Democrats regain control of Washington this November, as appears more likely with every day that passes.
The ICE theater in Minneapolis and a few other cities is a reality show diversion designed to keep the MAGA masses content and in line. But it’s backfired as Trump, as always, has backed down in the face of pressure from the radical left, whereas the “Peace President” never seems to be bothered bombing foreign countries that have not threatened or harmed the U.S. in any significant way.
And that gets to the crux of what so far has been the failure of the second Trump administration. We’re in Year Two of Trump 2.0 and the Great Replacement continues not so merrily along. At the rate the administration is going, only a few hundred thousand illegals will be removed after four years. And Trump won by promising to deport all of them, all 20 million or however many the actual unknowable number is.
When the Democrats win in November, or by 2028 at the latest if Congress stalemates during the final two years of Trump’s term, the border will open wide again and the invasion will be renewed after a short hiatus. And in the meantime the legal arrival of millions of Third Worlders continues apace, with Trump justifying it by claiming that Americans aren’t capable of doing the STEM jobs Third Worlders are. What an insult!
Even saying the words “The Great Replacement” remains taboo. On Fox News, only Tucker Carlson ever mentioned it and he was given the boot. Occasionally the cookie cutter conservatives like Jesse Watters on Fox will acknowledge that the Democrats want as many legal and illegal non-Whites here as possible to make their rule irreversible, but never go any deeper than that, nor suggest the needed actions to counter it.
As awful a candidate as Kamala Harris was, and with Trump running on the right issues, he still just barely won a majority of the popular vote, and that indicates just how close the communist Democrat Party is to permanent rule.
Of course, if Trump wasn’t so coarse he wouldn’t have alienated so many people who otherwise might have considered voting for him. He has lowered political discourse, and especially that of the presidency, so far that it may never recover. Vile insults hurled from every direction have been a hallmark of national politics ever since Trump rode down his “golden escalator.”
The second Trump administration, despite DJT’s endless glorification of it, currently is quickly headed irreversibly downhill. He repeatedly claims the economy is “the greatest in world history” but in truth it isn’t even remotely close to the U.S. economy from 1946 to 1973, in which men made enough money to buy a middle class home and raise a family. Some women have always worked by choice of course, but now a husband and wife (when men and women are even still married to each other) have to have at least two incomes between them to survive, and even then many keep falling behind. And since Amerika 2.0 is a Tower of Babel society based solely on materialism, when two-thirds or more of Americans live paycheck to paycheck, what could be a stronger condemnation of the current system?
The two factors that seem determinate in the colossal disappointment that is Trump 2.0 are Jeffrey Epstein and Zionism.
While a fine-tooth comb has been used to look for anything illegal in how Trump’s businesses have been conducted, nothing substantial has been found, certainly not the bogus multiple “felonies” he was convicted of through rabid lawfare of the kind his administration refuses to pursue against those who tried to ruin he and many of his supporters.
But in his personal life the story might be much different. Trump and Epstein were close friends for many years when they were middle-aged. The most obvious thing they had in common was an appreciation for young girls. Trump purchased the Miss Teen USA beauty pageant, while Epstein’s perversions were many and were often illegal.
This is not to say Trump did anything illegal sexually that is currently known, but the way he reacted the first time questions were asked of him about the release of the Epstein files, he lashed out in a way that made him look very bad, calling it a “hoax” and attacking his own base. He doesn’t seem to have regained his footing since.
And there’s nothing to describe Trump’s policies regarding Israel other than sickeningly servile. Israeli foreign policy and accompanying tactics seem to have been melded to U.S. foreign policy. It’s not irrational to believe that Israel has more than enough blackmail material on Trump to keep him doing Netanyahu’s bidding no matter how destructive it is to America.
What Trump 2.0 needed to be, and what many if not most of his voters wanted, was to be a counter-revolutionary force that would take on the communistic Democrat Party and the radical left head-on and unconditionally defeat it. The extreme left has relentlessly and successfully “marched through the institutions” as outlined as a strategy by Italian communist Antonio Gramsci a century ago. They may now be too entrenched for anything to be done about it – but Trump hasn’t tried and clearly isn’t going to.
As I wrote last year, the Democrat Party should be banned, that’s how critical the situation is. https://donwassall.substack.com/p/postcards-from-the-empire-1e1
But the Republican Party is not an opposition party, it’s Democrat lite, dominated by RINOs and the Chamber of Commerce, even at the state level. https://donwassall.substack.com/p/postcards-from-the-empire-c6c
Trump is an unparalleled survivor. He has many admirable qualities. He is great when it comes to creating chaos and unpredictability. He’s comfortable in a WWF fake environment, for in spite of all the good he’s done by correctly labeling the corporate media as “fake news,” he too is fake news. Taking on the system frontally, if he ever intended to, is not among those positive qualities, and that’s what America desperately needs to first survive and then thrive.
