The American People Will Never Get Clarity on the Epstein Files

Across the United States, Democrats and Republicans are demanding that their leaders disclose the Epstein files and finally reveal the truth. What they’re getting instead is a massive censorship campaign.

Not since 1998, with the Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky show trial , has the American public been so outraged by a sex scandal as that of disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein, who personally oversaw these practices for years. This is a unique opportunity to send not just one or two powerful “untouchables” to prison for the worst crime imaginable – the sexual abuse of a minor – but dozens, possibly hundreds, writes Robert Bridge .

In other words, a vast network of international power, wealth and systematic abuse.

Yet, to this day, we are still no closer to the truth about the identities of the sick perpetrators. Under the bipartisan Epstein Files Transparency Act, the Justice Department was required to release all its investigative materials on Mr. Epstein by December 19th, though it was permitted to redact and withhold certain documents to “protect the victims ,” which is understandable. It also withheld material that would “jeopardize a federal investigation.” Whether any suspects will actually face trial is currently unknown, but the Justice Department took full advantage of that loophole, completely redacting 680 pages of the released documents , rendering their release virtually unnecessary and meaningless.

Did we, the people, once again have too high expectations of the government? That’s highly likely, but given that we’re talking about child abuse here, even a single redacted page would have been suspicious; hundreds of completely blacked-out pages are completely unacceptable. After all, an investigation wouldn’t be hampered by revealing the identities of people who had sexual relations with underage girls. The American people deserve better than this. The American people deserve the names of the pedophiles who walk free today.

Initially, President Donald Trump believed such a mission was worthwhile. During the 2024 election campaign, he promised he would have “no problem” releasing more files on Jeffrey Epstein if elected. He even said he would release the deceased sex offender’s “client list,” listing the elite pedophiles who visited his infamous Little Saint James Island in the Caribbean. It’s easy to imagine this statement caused nationwide unease, and it could very well be the cause of the “Trump Derangement Syndrome” that has gripped so many influential people around the world. It seemed the MAGA movement would upend a warped segment of the establishment.

Once in office, Trump, who maintained his innocence throughout the saga, wavered on what to do with the files. He went from saying he would welcome the release of the documents to labeling the entire scandal a ” Democratic hoax .” Regarding Epstein’s client list, his Attorney General, Pam Bondi, publicly stated she had it in her possession but later denied its existence . This has led both Democrats and Republicans to question what, if anything, Trump is hiding.

What we know is that Trump had been close friends with Epstein since the late 1980s, but in 2004, four years before Epstein pleaded guilty to soliciting a minor for prostitution, he broke off contact with the pedophile. This is where the story gets even more intriguing, as several highly influential men, including Bill Gates , Larry Summers , and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor (formerly Prince Andrew), continued their friendship with Epstein even after he was publicly exposed as a child molester.

A political figure prominently featured in the latest released files was—yes, you guessed it—Bill Clinton, who also claims he severed ties with Epstein in 2005, years before the latter was charged with child abuse. This is where the political battle between Democrats and Republicans has exploded and is expected to only intensify over time. Clinton’s spokesman, Angel Ureña, has accused the White House of using the former Democratic president as a scapegoat.

“The White House did not hide these files for months only to dump them late on Friday to protect Bill Clinton,” the spokesman said in a statement on X.

“This is about protecting themselves from what comes next, or from what they’ll forever try to hide. So they can release as many grainy photos from over 20 years ago as they want, but this isn’t about Bill Clinton. It never has been, and it never will be,” the statement added.

Although Democrats and Republicans initially cooperated to release the files, it was inevitable that “politics as usual” would interfere. It’s quite a spectacle to watch powerful, influential men do everything possible—short of murder—to conceal their culpability in Epstein’s extensive pedophile network. Actually, just scratch the murder part. Regardless of what the FBI wants us to believe , it’s simply impossible that Jeffrey Epstein committed suicide in his prison cell, which wasn’t specially equipped with convenient hooks in the ceiling for hanging yourself. Prison cells are specifically designed to prevent suicide .

But I digress.

It would be nice to think that some kind of political price will have to be paid for these crimes against society’s most vulnerable, and that could very well happen in the 2026 midterm elections. While we can expect no conclusive evidence, no shocking revelations, and no early-morning arrests for the child abusers, there could well be a political backlash against Trump and the Republican Party for keeping the country in the dark about Mr. Epstein and his vast closet of skeletons. Much of that backlash could come from within the MAGA movement itself, which had such high expectations for Trump to crack down on sexual predators.
