The Three Stooges — Starmer, Macron and Merz

The Three Stooges — Starmer, Macron and Merz

Three failed leaders without popular support at home continue to try to interfere in the peace process between Russia and Ukraine.

And most of what they do is try hard to thwart all initiatives of US President Donald J. Trump, writes Paul Serron .

The problem is that if they succeed too much, Trump can simply run away and leave them with the whole hot potato of Ukraine, which they can’t do anything with because they don’t have the money, weapons, ammunition, or even troops.

So even if they win, they lose: they’re just three idiots.

We’re talking, of course, about Emmanuel Macron, Keir Starmer, and Friedrich Merz. Let’s take a look at their declining popularity:

Keir Starmer (City AM/Freshwater Strategy, November 2025)

Positive (approval): 23%

Negative (rejection): 70%

Emmanuel Macron (Verian Group, October 2025)

Approval: 11%

Disapproval: 89%

Friedrich Merz (INSA for Bild, December 2025)

Approval: 23%

Disapproval: 77%

You read that right: these men—who are disapproved of by 89%, 77%, and 70% of their citizens, respectively—seem to believe they have a broad mandate to engage in the peace process and resist Donald J. Trump’s overwhelming pressure for peace.

On Monday (8) the accomplices met again in London.

Starmer received Macron, Merz and their inevitable ‘hero’ Volodymyr Zelensky.

They reportedly discussed “the situation in Ukraine” (also known as the collapse of Ukraine’s front lines) and the ongoing US-brokered negotiations.

Reuters reports:

“Ukraine can count on our unwavering support. That is the whole point of the efforts we have undertaken as part of the Coalition of the Willing,” Macron said on X.2

“We will continue these efforts together with the Americans to provide Ukraine with security guarantees, without which there can be no robust and lasting peace. Because what is at stake in Ukraine is also the security of Europe as a whole,” he added.

Macron condemned last weekend’s attacks on Ukraine’s energy and railway infrastructure.

“Russia is engaged in an escalatory approach and is not pursuing peace… We must continue to put pressure on Russia to force it to make peace,” he added.”
